Featured Trip: Wild West 2011
This trip had more miles of daily travel than I normally plan but to get some of the sights we wanted to see most we did not have a choice. Days 1 and 2 were hard miles to get to the start of the fun part of our adventure. Day 3 started in Albuquerque and road north through the Sante Fe trail. Stopped in Madrid (This is where the first Wild HOGS movie was filmed) and end the day in Farmington. Day 4, stopped at 4 Courners monument, roud through the Navajo Nation, into Utah and seen the Zion National park. That is a awsome place. Days 5 and 6 were spent in Las Vegas. When we left Vegas we stopped at Hoover dam (that is a huge dam) and road Old Route 66. Not much has changed since the last time I was there. A cold front came down and the rest of our trip was a old one. Days 7 and 8 were spent in the Grand Canyon area. Marvolous Marv provided a great tour of the Canyon. While at the Grand Canyon it began to snow. I told you a cold front came down. We had to buy extra clothing to stay warm. We expected cool weather but not lows of 25 and highs in the 50's. When we left the canyon area the morning temp was 27 and a light snow. Days 9 and 10 road thru Sedona, and Apache Junction. Day 11 were in Tombstone. It was warmer there. Then we haead home.
Places We Have Traveled
We travel to different areas of the United States with our friends (and we have a great group of friends) on our bikes. We have fun, see beautiful places, and enjoy the scenery on the ride. For me one of the things I like to do is take many pictures. I share them with family and friends to encourage others to ride and have fun too. I hope the pictures of our travels will inspire you top plan a trip on your bike. When you go remember to buy a new leather top from The Classy Biker and Cruise in style.
